BMS-The Hitavada 2nd personality devpt camp ends on positive note

Bhonsala Adeventure and Sports Foundatuion and The Hitavada Twinkle Star’s second Personality Development Camp, concluded on a positive and joyous note at its sprawlling premises at panchwati, on Wednesday.

The second camp had even greater response than the first with the camp strength going upto 370 (132 girls and 238 boys), far beyond the strength of the first camp which comprised of 340 campers. All the camp activities were held amongst the groups formed for girls and boys to take part in competitions with scores of prizes to be won.

The camp comprised a combination of indoor and outdoor activities. The outdoor activities consisted of Military obstacle training, horse riding, rock climbing, river crossing, firing, swimming, karate, aerobics, archery, map reading and night navigation. All these activities were performed under strict supervision of ex-military men and special coaches. Zero per cent casualties speak for the volume of precautions and preparedness that went into the conduct of these activities.
The indoor activities comprised on varied subjects like art and craft to aeromodelling to robotics, art (nail art, rangoli, greeting card, kite making, and warli painting) and craft (Newspaper bags and use of disposable water bottles), cooking, fun games with moral teaching and a number of guest lectures.

The lectures were conducted by renowned speakers in their respective fields. The campers where enlightened on varied subjects like first aid by Dr Charde, public speaking by Amar Damle, achieving excellence through Shivajian way by Suman Tekade, manners and etiquettes’ and Civil awareness by CMCA, Chitnavis Center, Civil Lines; Health and Hygiene by Dr Chawaji and adolescence by Dr Rajiv Mohta and his wife.

During the concluding day programme held at Bhonsala Military School campus, the prizes were distributed at the hands of Meghana Erande, Indian Actress and Voice Actress in the presence of Aasawari Shenolikar, Magazine Editor, The Hitavada; Suryaratan Daga, Chairman, CHMES; Tarun Patel, Vice-Chairman, CHMES; Arch Dilip Chawhan, Secretary, CHMES; Col J S Bhandari, Director, Bhonsala Adventure and Sports Foundation; Lalit Joshi, Head Master, Bhonsala Military School and Anjali Ansingkar, Assistant Headmistress, Bhonsala Military School.

The winners comprised Shubham Yadav (Best in - Boy), Anushka Admane (Best in obstacle – Girl), Sanskar Pandey (B est shooter– Boy), Vidushi Bhangre (Best shooter– Girl), Ritesh Dadlani (Best Rifder– Boy), Vidushi Bhangre (Best Rider– Girl), Vedansh Somani (Bindas Boy), Swanandi Barde (Bindas Girl), Swayam Joshi (Best cadet Boy Junior), Ritesh Dadlani (Best Cadet Boy Senior), Purti Chopra (Best Cadet Girl Junior), Vidushi Bhangre (Best Cadet Girl Senior). All the campers were distributed participation certificates.
Other dignitaries present were Usha Daga, Bhavana Patel and Aparna Chawhan. The guests for the concluding day programme were welcomed by Suryaratan Daga, Chairman, CHMES.

The concluding programme comprised of two parts like LOC demo consisting of Military training, demonstration and a cultural night of dance and music.

During Military training and horse riding demonstration the participants demonstrated their newly acquired skills in warfare techniques and horse riding. The LOC demo showcased artificial war between opponents comprising of two groups of campers. Aeromodelling show aircraft models depicting war aircrafts also formed a part of the demo.

Capt Chand Md, Capt Dattu Gunjal, Sub Roshanlal, Sub Nathan, Sub Jagdish Dighe, Sub Bhorah, Sub V K More, Sub Rajendra Sonpuri, Sub Amit Verma, Vilas Raut, Chetan Shirpurkar, Ashutosh Kshirsagar and Amit Patwari, toiled hard to train the campers. Sub Roshanlal. Lalit Kumar Gupta did the comparing for Military training demonstration. Horse ridding demo included different drills. On the horses were campers Anuj Deshmukh, Yash Soni, Yashraj Singh, Jayesh Sharnagat, Vidhushi Kumar, Aditi Kedar, Sania Kale, Maithili Shende.

The cultural programme added flavor to the event. Chief guest Meghana Erande, actress and voice over artist highly appreciated the activities of the camp. She also demonstrated her prowess of voice over by mimicing voices of characters in cartoon films and actors like Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor. Earlier, Col J S Bhandari (Retd) Commandant made the introductory remarks and also introduced the chief guest. The programme started with a dance item on ‘Ek Dantaya Vakratundaya, Gauri Sutaya Dhimahi.’ The group dance performance on ‘Ayegiri Nandini’ the famous hymns on Durga Stuti was worth to watch. The campers also showcased various dance items like Pinga, Malhari, Desh Rangila, Indiawale.

Comparing for the programme was done by Ritesh Dadlani and Diksha Mulchandani whereas the cultural evening was anchored by campers’ Nikita Deshmukh and Sanskriti Dubey.
