On the achievement of police team, SP Dr Mahendra Singh Sikarwar has declared cash reward for members of police team

POLICE have succeeded in apprehending a drug peddler and seized 12.1 kilograms of ganja worth Rs 1.5 lakh and a motorcycle from him in Phutatal area under jurisdiction of Hanumantal police station.


The accused has been identified as Ankit Chakrawarty (20), son of Ravi Chakrawarty, resident of Sindhi Cant, Kumhar Mohalla in Hanumantal. Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia informed this while addressing a press conference.


ASP Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia informed that under the direction of Superintendent of Police Dr Mahendra Singh Sikarwar, police started a special campaign under supervision of CSP, Gohalpur, Indrajeet Bakalwar. During the campaign, police received information about a suspected man involved in drug trafficking.


Taking prompt action on the information, police team started a search and succeeded in trapping the suspect when he was riding a motorcycle near Phutatal Maidan. Police team seized a sack tied on his motorcycle and found ganja weighing around 12.1 kilograms worth Rs 1.5 lakh. On the achievement of police team, SP Dr Mahendra Singh Sikarwar has declared cash reward for members of police team.
