State Police expedites search operation for missing children

RAIPUR,

Chhattisgarh Police has expedited search operation for missing children. Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Crime Investigation Department (CID) RK Vij directed the Superintendents of Police (SP) of all districts through video conferencing on Thursday.


During the meeting, RK Vij instructed the officials to reach out door-to-door for searching missing children and also to make coordination with Departments of Woman and Child Development, Labour, Social Welfare, Youth and Sports Department. ADG will also hold meeting with Para-legal volunteers to initiate recovery of missing kids.


A month long operation by the name of ‘Talash’ will be launched to cover entire state from May 15 to June 15. Ad campaign will be run through radio, television and pamphlets for recovery of 1195 children went missing from between January 200 and March 2017.


Emphasis was also laid on use of social media, print and electronic media. Special rewards will be given to Police officers for each recovered child.
Reviewer meeting was attended by Inspector General CID HK Rathore, SP Railways Parul Mathur, Manisha Thakur Rawte and Assistant Inspector General Technical Services.
