Jabalpur on high security before Prime Minister’s visit

JABALPUR police are on toes for ensuring security arrangements during the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday. Cops are keeping vigilant eye on suspicious elements and activities in urban and rural areas.


It may be mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Dumna Airport on Monday. He will leave for Amarkantak to attend Narmada Seva Yatra programme. Thereafter, Prime Minister will return to Dumna Airport and leave for Delhi on the same day.


Team of Special Protection Guards (SPG) took charge at Dumna Airport for materialising security arrangements, while police team conducted rehearsal for maintaining security of arrangements. Superintendent of Police Dr Mahendra Singh Sikarwar informed that additional force of 1,200 personnel along with available district police force are being deployed for maintaining law and order arrangements in the district.

Separate police teams under the supervision of senior officers are conducting rigorous checking of public places, hotels and lodges and checking vehicles arriving from outside the district. Police are keeping eye on new and unidentified persons for avoiding existence of any unwanted person for better security arrangements.


Additional security force has been deployed, while separate police teams along with Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) personal are conducting rigorous checking of Dumna
Airport, Railway Station, bus stands and other public places. Team of senior police officers reviewed the preparations for police deployment at Dumna Airport.
