Minister Pandey dedicates newly-constructed garden

Cabinet Minister Prem Prakash Pandey on Sunday morning dedicated the newly-constructed garden in between Street-12 and 13 at Sector-5 Bhilai by cutting the ribbon. This garden has been constructed by spending 10.50 lakh rupees and is one out of the 27 gardens that would come up in the corporation area.


In his address, Minister Pandey said that only picking up broom for cleanliness is not sufficient but we must strive to bring a change in public opinion regarding this. So that a message is spread in other cities that cleanliness drive in Bhilai is going on with a change in opinion in public regarding cleanliness. He said that there was a time when people use to hesitate to pick up the broom with me but now their thinking has changed and for cleanliness this change must come in people regarding cleanliness.

If we decide to make Bhilai No-1 in clean city then there will be no one who can stop us. Earlier to this Pandey under his cleanliness drive cleaned the streets at the slums of Cross Street in Sector-5 and also the main streets. BMC Speaker, P Shyamsunder Rao and Ward Corporator, also expressed their views on the occasion while Bharat Dubey conducted the proceedings of the dedication ceremony. During the function national volleyball player Komal Singh, Priya, Sushma, Bharti, Kavita and their coach P Manoj Kumar, Rakesh Singh, BP Singh along with national karate player Chetna Baghmar were felicitated with shields at the hands of Minister Pandey.


Also present on the occasion were Corporator, J Shrinivas Rao, Jogender Sharma, Anil Singh, Dinesh Prasad Yadav, Rinku Singh, Zone Commissioner, Prashant Shukla, Sanitary Inspector, Yashwant Chaturvedi, Ramayan Singh and others.
