Jewellers request SP to nab culprits involved in robbery of Amit Jewellers

Taking a serious cognisance of the broad day robbery and firing at the Amit Jewellers, Kanhan, The Nagpur Sarafa Association on Monday called an emergency meeting at its office. The meeting was presided over by Kishore Dharashivkar, President, of the Association.

Present in the meeting were Rajkumar Gupta, Purushottam Kawale, vice-presidents, Rajesh Rokde, Secretary, Sarang Dabade, Joint Secretary, Vishal Parekh, Treasurer, Shyam Shukla, Hardik Parekh, Vijay Dhadiwal, Raj Shah, Mangesh Dange, all executive committee members.

The jewellers after the meeting met Shailesh Balkawade, Superintendent of Police Nagpur Rural and submitted a representation. They appealed Balkawade to nab the culprits. Kishore Dharashivkar said, all the jewellers had installed CCTV in their shops.

“We are following all the instructions of the concerned authorities but still jewellers are being attacked and the incidents of robbery are taking place,” he said. The incident of May 14 i.e attack on Amit Jewellers had shocked all the jewellers. Such type of incident in the broad day light in market place had raised several questions about the security of traders.

“Anti-social elements are operating without any fear of law. Immediate action should be taken against the culprits and put them behind the bars,” said Rajesh Rokde.

After giving patient hearing, Balkawade, assured the delegation of Nagpur Sarafa Association that his team was working day and night to trace the culprit and strict action would be taken against them. Police patrolling would be intensified in the prominent markets.
