Pawan Bansal sets ball rolling for Congress’ organisation polls

Congress party’s State Election Officer Pawan Bansal came to Bhopal on Monday and conducted joint meeting of district, City Congress Presidents, State Organisation post holders, MLAs and state presidents of various cells of party. Bansal acquainted himself about membership work and directed to submit list of primary and active members timely. Bansal informed that organisation elections will be held in five phases and subsequently work related to election has to be done in time bound manner. In the meantime, Congress leaders and workers told him that every time, they goes for membership during the time of organisation election but instead of holding election for top posts, party goes for nomination process. The nomination deprives the aspiring leader from the election and big leader’s manages to get the person of their choice nominated for various important posts.
It is learnt that Pawan Bansal had told the aggrieved party workers that Rahul Gandhi is in favour of elections and the problem
pointed out by them would be looked upon. On this occasion, State Congress President Arun Yadav told that organisation election work is going in full swing. In primary phase of election, 50 primary members and two ‘Supatra’ members are going to be made. Later, membership drive was also reviewed. APRO of Congress, Jitendra Kansana and Rajkumar Kataria asked party workers to get indulged in the work of organisation election with full heart and to discharge the election related duties from time to time. Notably, Congress is passing through the organisation election process under which various posts of state organisation body will be filled. The election process also covers the post of State President. Now discussion has started that who is going to get the rein of state Congress in Madhya Pradesh or whether incumbent Arun Yadav will be allowed to carry work forward.
