CM Chouhan praises IGNTU’s vision, research

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged youngsters to come forward and take advantage of different funds to be given by the State Government for entrepreneurship among the young and make MP a developed, prosperous state having core cultural values.

CM Chouhan was addressing scores of students and faculty members in Indira Gandhi National Tribal University during his felicitation programme CM Chouhan praised the efforts by Vice-Chancellor Prof.

T V Kattimani for his vision and continuous research by the University for development of rural area. CM Chouhan encouraged the young students to come forward and give the innovative ideas through the apps and social media platform to his office. The State Government will take care of subsidized funding of these start-ups. “The State government has started venture capital fund for new business ideas, come forward to take advantage of the fund,” he said.

While referring to Narmada Seva Yatra and Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit to Amarkantak he said that by 2050 the average rise in temperature will be 2 degree Celsius. The rise in temperature will be hazardous for not only flora and fauna but also for the humans. He said that the Yatra is a gesture towards India’s Commitment for climate change. If river flow will continue the civilization and culture will also survive.

Earlier, while welcoming CM Chauhan, Vice-Chancellor Prof. T.V. Kattimani explained various development research undertaken by the University. He said that Amarkantak area has vast possibilities for agriculture, horticulture and floriculture related business. He extended helping hand of the University to provide its expertise and training to the farmers in this regard. Prof. Kattimani urged for a Air Strip in the area for rapid development which is accepted by CM Chauhan.

CM asked district officials to identify the land for the same. Prof. Kattimani gave detailed information about the skill development in the area and innovation driven society to the audience. He presented three books written by him to CM Chauhan. VC Kattimani also felicitate Minister Sanjay Pathak and Senior BJP leader Ajay Singh. Registrar Dr. A.R. Subramanian presented vote of thanks.
