Heatwave continues in city

Nagpur continued to reel under a severe heatwave with the mercury settling over 45.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The minimum temperature of the city recorded 32.8 degree Celsius which was the highest in Vidarbha.

The roads became deserted throughout the day and evening was also looked like the same. Those who dared to come out on roads were tried to search for shelters. According to weather department the heat wave situation remain the same for at least three more days.


Brahmapuri also recorded 45.5 degree Celsius temperature but Chandrapur topped the list with 46.8 degree Celsius. Gondia (45.1), Wardha (45.0), Akola (43.6), Yevatmal (43.5), Amravati, (42.6), Washim (42.6) and Buldhana (40.0) also recorded high temperature.


The minimum temperature of Akola (30.2), Amravati (28.8), Buldhana (27.0), Bramhapuri (31.4), Chandrapur (29.0), Gondia (28.1), Washim (27.6), Wardha (31.0) and Yevatmal (29.8) was also high above normal.
