Four new courses of Special Education introduced to boost ‘Divayang’

For this First time in Chhattisgarh four new courses of Special Education is being introduced to give a boost to ‘Divayang’ and Special Education given to them.


Piyali Foundation College of Special Education started four new courses recognised and approved by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi. The name of course offered are D.Ed SE (Mental Retardation), D.Ed SE ( Autism Spectrum Disorder), DVR (Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation Mental Retardation) and Certificate Course in Care giving.


Anyone who have completed 12th with more than 50% can apply for the courses. However, there is relaxation for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and they should have passed the examination with at least 45% mark, said Foundation president Dr Meet Mukherjee and secretary Rajkishore Chaudhary while talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday.
Speaking about the opportunities, they said the trained candidates of the institute can work in NGOs, government sector, hospitals, general schools etc.


Piyali Foundation is working in the field of disability for last 13 year registered under Society’s Act and PWD Act 1995 (Social Welfare Department) Serving Intellectually Disabled such as those who have learning problems, slow learners, hyperactive students.
