Zigitza Health Care Company got joining of some employees one day, terminated five employees next day

There is no let in woes of 108 Ambulance employees in State after much pressure from the Government when the Zigitza Health Care Company got joining of some employees a day, terminated five of them the next day. Hundreds of ambulance employees are still rendered jobless, waiting their joining. Employees allege that the company has sidelined orders of Chief Minister, Health Minister and even Assistant Labour Commissioner’s warnings of having unconditional joining of 108 Ambulance employees.

According to information, the 108 Ambulance employees are said to file a petition in Labour Court against the Zigitza Health Care Company for not complying Assistant Labour Commissioner’s orders and exploiting employees. On the issue of getting work 12 hours from ambulance employees, the ambulance employees of other companies running ambulances in other State like Chhattisgarh and Odisha have gone on strike.

It is learnt the ambulance employees are in mood to have aggressive agitation in State after two or three days. Its strategy will be decided in a State-level executive meeting to be held on Friday most probably after filing petition against the company.

On the other hand, when ambulance employees had met Gauri Singh, Principal Secretary, health on issue the company not taking their joining, she did not take any action against the company and asked employees to solve matter with the company officers. “Zigitza Health Care Company officers are unfortunately ignoring orders of Chief Minister, Health Minister, Assistant Labour Commissioner and even the director, national health mission but nobody has taken it seriously, said an ambulance employee pleading his anonymity.

When contacted Nripendra Mishra, State General Secretary, 108 Ambulance employees, said that the company did not taken joining of all employees. It took joining of some employees a day and terminated five of them the next day increasing anger among the employees. We will file a petition at Labour Court on Wednesday and within two days we will finalise aggressive agitation strategy State-wide, he said.
