Minister suspends Panchayat Secy for delay in solving water problem

UPSET over the delay in solving the complaints of drinking water crisis, Minister of Public Health Engineering, Brijmohan Agrawal reprimanded the PHE officials during his visit at Samadhan Shivir conducted under ‘Lok Suraaj Abhiyan’ at Ajgabahar in Korba.
Annoyed with the negligence of Ajgabahar Panchayat Secretary who did not look into the problems of locals even
after receiving several complaints, Minister suspended him with immediate effect.

During the visit, locals informed about the prevailing problem of water scarcity in rural areas of district. On receiving complaint about delay in deepening of ponds in village, Minister inspected the area and expressed his anger over the snail pace of development work. He admonished the Zila Panchayat Officer Indrajeet Singh Chandrawal and directed him to look into the matter and enquire about reason for the delay.

Though, the CEO tried to give his explanation, Minister warned him to do needful for solving this problem instead of arguing with him or else he would be forced to take action against him. Minister directed the officials to solve the problem of drinking water crisis within three months.

On hearing the problems of locals about shortage of higher secondary schools in remote areas due to which the students are compelled to travel long distance for reaching schools, minister sought detail information on reasons behind delay in sending proposal for HSS schools from Collector P Dayanand. Collector informed that the administration had sent a proposal to Government but it was not approved in budget 2017-18.

Minister has ensured the villagers that he will discuss the matter with Education Minister and try his best for a school in Ajgabahar. Students appealed the Minister for providing bus facility for going to school. Minister directed the Collector to do needful
