The latest addition being the midi bus number 306 whichstarted from May 18 from Halalpur to AIIMS and 307 which started plying from May 15 from Kokta to Habibganj.

This bus has specially been started for people who commute frequently to and fro from hospitals, especially patients. The frequency of buses has also been kept high keeping in mind the comfort of patients on this 27 kilometre long bus route. As per authorities the bus on this route will be available in every 15 to 20 minutes, saving the time of commuters. BCLL has been focusing on improving the bus frequency on other routes as well.

The run time of buses on old routes has also been extended to 10 pm which earlier was 9 pm, as per the increased demand of commuters on the routes. BCLL is also taking concrete steps for sensitising people regarding the use of Mahapaur Smart Passes so that more and more people travel through low floor buses in the city.

Director, BCLL, Keval Mishra said, “Bus on this route has specially been started for ease of patients and people commuting frequently on this route. This route will connect Peoples Hospital, Hamidia Hospital and AIIMS through by-pass making it easy for many people to commute and connect to health services. We will increase the frequency further if traffic increases on the route.

As of now, the run time of buses is 9 pm on all the new routes, which can be increased to 10 pm like other old routes of Mandideep and SR-2 buses if such demand comes to us.”
