CM sanctions 24 km road at Mainpaat

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today landed at village Paiga under development block Mainpat in district Surguja as a part of ‘Lok Suraaj’ Campaign. The villagers were surprised to see Chief Minister amidst them. Dr Raman Singh conducted ‘choupal’ in the shadows of ‘Saal’ tree and gave a patient hearing to the views of senior citizens, school children and youths from the village. He won the hearts of the gathering with lucid and easy conversations with the villagers.


On the occasion the Chief Minister sanctioned 24 Km road connecting Paiga-Nanadmali-Parpatiya and a bridge over River Machhli.


With the construction of this road, the distance between Paiga and district headquarter Ambikapur will be reduced from 75 Kms to 40 Kms. He also sanctioned Rs 8 lakh for laying a cement concrete road at gram panchayat Paiga. He instructed the officials to install electric poles at Paiga as soon as possible.
Dr Raman Singh queried the students of Paiga Middle School to narrate mathematics table at the choupal. Later during interaction with the school he asked them to ensure more focus on quality education.


Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh also asked the Paiga gram panchayat Sarpanch Devrathiya and panchs to make efforts to provide ‘pucca’ houses to the poor villagers under the Prime Minister Housing Project.


Chief Minister instructed them to allocate domestic gas connections to the deprived sections of the society under the Prime Minster ‘Ujjwala’ scheme. The Tibetan refugees of Mainpat presented an idol of Bhagwan Buddha to Dr Raman Singh on the occasion.
