Madhya Pradesh has probably become the first State in the country to decide that financial year will be from January till December. This means that budget session will come in January month. Till now, financial year was ending in March, henceforth budget session of assembly was convened in March month itself.

Informing mediapersons about the informal discussion done before cabinet meeting, Government Spokesman Dr Narottam Mishra said that now financial year in State will end in December month.
He also said that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has asked ministers to prepare the roadmap of two years and instructed that roadmap should be prepared in synch with announcements made in ‘Sankalp Patra’.

The ministers will also need to inform that how they are
going to achieve the target of the roadmap. Decision has been also taken that on Tuesday, any one department will give presentation. The most important thing is this that all Principal Secretaries and Chief Secretary has been asked to ensure that in all Government material like letter pad, television, advertisement should have the logo of Pandit Deendayal.

Government is also going to review those outdated laws who have lost their existence. In coming time, these outdated laws will be terminated. This time, state has received 40 percent more money than last year from central sponsored schemes.

“Today, centre has selected 20 cities out of 500 cities under Swachata Abhiyan and of these 20 cities, 8 cities are of Madhya Pradesh. These cities include Indore, Rewa, Bhopal, Gwalior, Ujjain, Sagar, Pithampur etc,” he informed. In the meantime, before starting of cabinet, CM had lunch with ministers and ministers have brought tiffin from home. After 20 days, CM will have lunch with workers in districts. Ministers will also follow the CM footprint to have lunch with party workers.
