Pro-active policing amidst changing circumstances is need of hour: ADG Rao

THREE-DAY workshop on ‘Training Assessment of Madhya Pradesh Police’ was inaugurated in a graceful ceremony at MLB School auditorium, on Tuesday.
The workshop is being organised under the direction of Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters, Bhopal for making the police training more efficient for trainee constables, head constables and sub-inspectors.

Chief guest on the occasion was Additional Director General of Police (Jabalpur Zone) D Sreenivasa Rao, while IIFM Human Resource Management, Professor Rekha Singhal presided over the programme. Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Sandeep Mishra, DSP (Traffic), Manoj Khatri and Reserve Inspector Dilip Singh Parihar were specially present.

Addressing the programme, ADG D Sreenivasa Rao emphasised that, “Pro-active policing amidst is needed with change in circumstances, bringing more transparency in working of police. The workshop will improve training efficiency at police training institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Rekha Singhal also expressed the need of changes in working of police along with social and technical changes. Newly recruited police personnel will require specialised training to deal with changing modus operandi of crime.

A total of 56 newly recruited constables from Jabalpur Zone, Sagar Zone and Balaghat Zone are attending the workshop.
