Passengers at the waiting hall of State capital sans bore as the only entertainment system provided by South East Central Railway (SECR) for the passengers was out of service for past two days in absence of remote controller. It was observed that all the passengers who were waiting for long distance trains at any of the four waiting halls situated at platform number one were facing similar problems. The news and entertainment provided to the passengers through cable television was thrown out of service. When contacted the on-duty staff informed that the service is provided by the private operators. The Air Conditioned VIP waiting hall for ladies and gents and second class waiting hall for ladies and gents were all equipped with Tate Sky cable services.

Due to absence of remote controller the television was closed for past two days. Passengers were seen sleeping at the waiting hall and taking yarn at the waiting hall. Some of the youth passengers were busy with mobile phones using free Wi-fi service provided by the railways.

Divisional Commercial Manager, Masud Alam Ansari when informed said he will look into the matter and make sure that the entertainment service will be resumed soon. He said the passenger should be aware and such matters should be reported in black and white with the complaint book available with the attendant.
