Security beefed up for special Assembly session on GST today

Tight security arrangements have been made in and around assembly premises as one day special session will be organised on Wednesday to pass the state GST. Apart from this, legislatures will also deliberate to provide living entity status to Narmada river. In the meantime, oath will be also administered to two new elected MLAs from Ater assembly constituency of Bhind district and Bandhavgarh assembly constituency of Umaria district. In the recently held by election for Ater assembly seat, Congress candidate Hemant Katare defeated BJP candidate Arvind Bhadoria by more than 800 votes.
Minister Gyan Singh’s son Shivnarayan Singh won the by election of Bandhavgarh assembly constituency by huge margin. Now, both Hemant Katare and Shivnarayan Singh will take oath during one day special session.
As far as security arrangements for one day assembly session is concerned then armed guards are guarding the entrance gates of state assembly. The temporary police check posts have also come up 1-2 km away from the assembly premises.
After cabinet meeting, government spokesman Dr Narottam Mishra told that in one day special session of assembly, government will bring bill to provide living entity status to Narmada river.
