Six illegal structures of dairies demolished

Six illegal structures of dairies were peacefully demolished for violation of norms at the banks of river Gaur, on Wednesday. A combine team of District Administration, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Pollution Control Board, Madhya Pradesh Poorva Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company and District Police reached to raze the illegal structures.


A total of seven illegal dairy structures of Akhtar Dairy, Aslam Dairy, Pappu Yadav Dairy, Rajjak Dairy and Wahid Dairy were removed by JCV machines. The structures were demolished amidst strict security arrangements with deployment of police force from Gaur, Cantt, Barela, Gorakhpur, Gora Bazar and Police Line for avoiding any untoward incident. Senior officers including Additional Collector, Anand Kopria, SDM, Namah Shivay Arjaria, Tehsildar, Pankaj Mishra, Power Distribution Company’s Manoj Vaidya, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sanjeev Uikay, CSP, Cantt, MP Prajapati, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Ayachi and Baghel were present.


The dairy structures were razed due to violation of pollution control norms under the direction of Madhya Pradesh High Court. The dairy owners were already given intimation for fulfilling pollution control norms but they failed in fulfilling the same. Taking stern action against the violation of norms, district administration started a rigorous campaign against dairy owners. Besides this, electricity connections of dairies were detached by employees of Madhya Pradesh Poorva Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company.

Collector, Mahesh Chandra Choudhary has cleared that the violation of norms will not be tolerated and the campaign will be continued in coming days. He directed the dairy owners for taking no-objection certificates from Pollution Control Board, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Revenue Department and other competent authorities for avoiding any kind of inconvenience in near future. On the other hand, Collector, Mahesh Chandra Choudhary and Superintendent of Police, Dr. Mahendra Singh Sikarwar conducted inspection at dairy of Deepak Balraha and directed the owner for ensuring implementation of norms.
