11 injured as bus turns turtle at Sagra village

NINE people, including two women, were injured when a bus overturned due to failure in controlling the steering at Sagra village under the jurisdiction of Bargi sub police station, on Saturday. One of the injured named Golu Jain of Bargi Nagar sustained critical injuries, while a woman named Om Bai sustained fracture and other were partially injured and discharged after giving primary treatment.

Bargi sub police station, Incharge Sub-Inspector Komal Bagri informed that the incident took place when a bus registration number MP-20TA-1189 ferrying passengers from Jabalpur to Ghansore through Sagra. When the bus was passing through Sagra, its steering failed and driver lost control over the bus. It overturned at a roadside. Fortunately, there was no major injury to any of the passengers in the tragic incident. Witnessing the accident, a large number of villagers along with passer-bys gathered on the spot and started rescuing the passengers from bus.

The injured were rushed at Victoria Hospital through two ambulances. One of the injured named Golu Jain was given primary treatment and referred at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital for further treatment. Condition of the injured is reported to be stable undergoing treatment at the hospital. According to information given by Sub-Inspector Komal Bagri informed that the accused bus driver managed to escape from the spot. Bargi police have registered a case under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC and started investigations to identify and apprehend the accused driver
