‘Complete cement roads, cause least inconvenience to people’

Nanda Jichkar, Mayor, and Ashwin Mudgal, Municipal Commissioner, inspected the construction of cement roads in progress in city and asked the officials to ensure speedier completion of the works without causing inconvenience to the people.


Jichkar and Mudgal conducted inspection of the cement work of West High Court road. Deepraj Pardikar, Deputy Mayor; Rupa Roy, Chairperson of Dharampeth Zone; Bhagwan Mendhe, Chairperson of Hanuman Nagar Zone; Pintu Zalke, R Z Siddiqui, Additional Municipal Commissioner; Ulhas Debadwar, Chief Engineer and others accompanied Mayor and Municipal Commissioner during inspection.


After interacting with the officials concerned, Mayor and Municipal Commissioner asked them to ensure timely completion of cement road construction works. The contractor concerned should take ample care that the ongoing work caused the least inconvenience to the people. “Quality of work also must be excellent. Besides, contractor should ensure that the construction material should not remain on road once the work is completed,” Jichkar said.


Mudgal asked the officials concerned to keep proper vigil on quality of construction, and ensure that the the laid-down parameters were followed. He asked them to submit a report of works.


Mahesh Gupta, Executive Engineer (Transport); Moti Kukreja, Executive Engineer (Works); C R Gabhane, Deputy Engineer; Dhananjay Mendhulkar, U V Dhanvijay, Khanorkar, R G Khot, Umesh Khandare, Engineer, and others also were present during the inspection.
