Citizens congratulate Mayor as Bhopal becomes 2nd clean city in India

Mayor of Bhopal Alok Sharma on Monday organised the fifth session of his public hearing ‘Bhopal ki Choupal’ at his residence here. During the session, many residents congratulated him for Bhopal being declared as the second most cleanest city out of 500 cities in India.


During the public hearing session, Sharma received 112 applications comprising grievances and demands from residents of different parts of the city. The applications included demands and grievances related to water, sewage, cleanliness, encroachment and illegal construction. One of the attendees of the session requested for help in cancer treatment for one his family members. Apart from this one of the resident while meeting him, demanded the construction of a library in his locality.


“Many of the residents who came to attend the public hearing session, thanked mayor Sharma for solving their problems addressed in the previous sessions of Bhopal ki Choupal. Many specially came to congratulate him for the Bhopal being declared as the second cleanest city of India by presenting him bouqets and memorabilia,” said public relation officer, BMC, Harish Gupta.


Now Mayor’s smart pass available in Choupal: In the fifth hearing of ‘Bhopal ki Choupal’, a counter for Mayor’s smart pass was also arranged for the applicants who visited mayor’s residence. With this arrangement now the city residents can directly avail smart pass for low floor buses. Apart from it, Deendayal Rasoi yojna counters were also placed here so that people willing to provide their contribution in this scheme financially, then they could deposit money here.
