ABAVP delegation demands not to close Adivasi hostels

The delegation met met Maharashtra Governor M Vidyasagar Rao and submitted a memorandum of demands to him

A delegation of members of Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad (ABAVP) recently met Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and made him aware about the injustice
faced by Adivasi community in the State. A delegation led by National Working President of ABAVP Madhukar Pichad consisted of executive committee members of district and tehsil levels discussed the different issues of Adivasi community.


A memorandum of demands was submitted to the Governor. ABAVP demanded not to include Dhangar community in Adivasi. Government should not close down the hostels for Adivasi students but should increase number of hostels so that Adivasi students could take education. Pandit Deendayal Scheme should be closed and Government should not close down the classes of standard 1 to 4 of Adivasi Ashram Shalas in the state. Government should stop the inclusion of bogus Adivasi in community etc were the main demands.


The delegation consisted of former minister, Shivajirao Moghe; former minister, Vasant Purke; Shivram Zole, Pandurang Gangad, President of ABAVP North Maharashtra, Lucky Jadhav; Ram Chavan, Ramnath Bhojne, Nagpur President, Dinesh Sheram, Vilas Waghmare, Umesh pawar, Ulhas Ghode, Nivrutti Ghode etc.
