Mah gets Rs 47 cr incentive

MAHARASHTRA has received an incentive amount worth
Rs 47 crore from the Centre under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme of Urban Development Ministry.


Principal Secretary of Maharashtra State Urban Development Department Manisha Mhaiskar received the incentive amount on behalf of the State Government by the hands of Union Urban Development Union Urban Development and Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and I&B Minister M Venkaiah Naidu during a national workshop on Urban Transformation organised at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday. Naidu disbursed a total incentive of Rs 500 crore among top 16 States doing excellent work in the area of urban development. Notably, this incentive amount being given to well performing States is beyond the regular financial assistance provided to the States under AMRUT scheme.
