GST challenge can be managed with planning: Shah

THE Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Nagpur branch organised a workshop on GST for Automobile Dealer Association of Nagpur.
As a part of social responsibility and as a mission to support the Government for successfully implement the GST Law, Nagpur branch is organising multiple programmes for the trade and industry.

CA Julesh Shah, Member of PR and CSR Committee of ICAI, New Delhi while expressing his opinion mentioned that there are multiple challenges that may be faced by various stakeholders in the GST era but with proper planning and advice of the experts including chartered accountants (CAs) it can be managed and handled properly. He further said, “Presently in 164 countries GST is working smoothly and India will in due course of time will be able to cope up with the challenges of GST”.

Chairman of Nagpur branch CA Sandeep Jotwani, mentioned that Nagpur branch is taking all efforts for explaining the provisions of GST to various organisations. “Everyone should take it as a challenge as well a responsibility to adopt this new law and motivate others to do so”, he said. There will be difficulties faced during the transition phase but these difficulties will give proper returns in due course of time. Nagpur branch has already started ‘GST Seva Kendra’ which provides free consultancy on GST issues. He urged members to take the benefit of the Kendra.

Sunil Jagyasi and Sandeep Rupani coordinated the programme. They expressed their gratitude to the CA institute for extending all their support for conducting the programme.
CA Pritam Batra and CA Varun Vijaywargia explained the
various provisions of GST and also resolved the queries of
the delegates.

Prominently present on the occasion were Secretary of Nagpur branch CA Suren Duragkar, CA Govind Batra, Roop Tahalyani, Tarun Chelani, Gopal Narang, Satnamsingh Arneja and members in large numbers.
