MP Archer Shivansh Awasthi wins bronze in Asia Cup event

Madhya Pradesh Archer Shivansh Awasthi won bronze medal at Asia Cup stage 3 team events held at Taipei. Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Yashodhara Raje Scindia expressed her deep contentment. She congratulated the player for the achievement and wished him luck for the future. She also encouraged him to play well and not get distracted from the target.

Scindia also told the player to give his best at the championship at national and international level in future events. Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Upendra Jain also congratulated the player for his brilliant performance at the championship. Notably, the players are being trained by coach of Madhya Pradesh Archery Academy Richhpal Singh Silaria.

It has to be noted that the archers of Madhya Pradesh Archery Academy showcased their talent in Asia Cup 2017 (Stage 3). The archers of Madhya Pradesh represented team India in the championship. Three players, including Shivansh Awasthi, Muskan Kirar and Amit Yadav, represented India at the Asia Cup. Notably, the world championship started in Chinese Taipei on y 3 and will conclude on July 10.

The players will be representing team India in Asia Cup Stage 3. Notably, the archers were selected after a trial match held in Rohtak, Haryana. The trial match was held on June 1 and continued till June 4. After giving tough competition to the players from across the State, the players Shivansh Awasthi, Muskan Kirar and Amit Yadav were selected from Madhya Pradesh to be a part of team India.
