Illegal arm trader held with 3 pistols

A combine team of Crime Branch and Madan Mahal police succeeded in apprehending a habitual criminal involved in illegal trade of fire arms and seized three country-made pistols and a live cartridge from him.
The accused has been identified as Rajesh Choubey (39), son of late Saligram Choubey, a resident of village Paliya Piparia, Bankheri in district Hoshangabad.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Monday.

It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Dr Mahendra Singh Sikarwar police started a special campaign against illegal trade and use of fire arms under the supervision of Additional SP, Guru Prasad Parashar, Additional SP, Suraj Kumar Verma, Additional SP, Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia, Additional SP, Sanjeev Kumar Uikay and Additional SP Sanjay Sahu.

During the campaign, police received information of a man involved in several sensitive crime cases was sight with fire arms arriving from Hoshangabad in Jabalpur. Acting promptly on the information, a combine team of Crime Branch and Madan Mahal police started a search and nabbed the accused when he came out from Madan Mahal railway station. In his search, police recovered three country-made pistols and a live cartridge from his bag.

ASP, Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia informed that the arrested man is a habitual criminal and was booked in sensitive cases like murder in Betul, Hoshangabad, loot in Narsinghpur, dacoity and illegal fire arm trade in Jabalpur. The accused was apprehended with active working of police team comprised of Inspector, Doman Singh Maravi, Sub Inspector, SS Maravi, ASI, Tekchand Sharma, Head Constable, Murari Dubey, Constables, Yogendra Kanogia, Govind Patel, Rakesh Agnihotri, Digendra Bisen and Crime Branch’s Head Constable, Balgiri, Constables, Bhupendra, Mahendra Patel, Rashid Sadig and Ajay Jain.
