2 people hurt as Hywa-dumper collide

TWO persons were injured after Hywa and dumper collided on Tilwara bridge under jurisdiction of Tilwara police station on Wednesday. The accident on Jabalpur-Nagpur National Highway-12 led to traffic jam on both ends of Tilwara bridge. The injured were identified as Rajesh Thakur and Kailash Gond, residents of Manegaon village.


Tilwara police informed that they received information of a road accident on Tilwara bridge. Receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and found that a Hywa (MP-20HB-3925) and a dumper (MP-20GA-0710) had collided.
In the mishap, a man named Kailash Gond sustained injury on his neck and his leg was fractured, while Rajesh Thakur also sustained multiple injuries.


The injured were rushed to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital with help of 108 Ambulance service where their condition is reported to be stable. Following the road accident, long queues of vehicles were seen on both ends of the bridge. Police team managed to pull away damaged Hywa and dumper from the bridge and cleared the traffic. Tilwara police have registered a case under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC, while further probe is on.
