Omti cops nab one of 2 accused in murder case

Omti police succeeded in apprehending one of the two accused of killing a man near Karamchand Chowk, on Saturday.


The accused has been identified as Chuha, while further investigations are underway.
According to Omti police, a man named Babu was found injured on footpath near Karamchand Chowk, who was rushed to Victoria Hospital, where he was given primary treatment and referred to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital.


The condition of injured deteriorated and he succumbed to his critical head injury undergoing treatment at the hospital.Learning about the incident, a police team reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama. Investigating the case, police learnt that the deceased was sleeping on footpath near Karamchand Chowk when two men named Chuha and Tikka killed him by smashing his head with a stone in drunken stupor.
Police are still investigating the case to ascertain the authentic reason behind the killing of man and started a search for another accused.
