Yet another expose of tall claims made by police came to fore on Saturday morning behind bus stand complex, falling under bus stand police post, after five shop owners were shocked to discover their shops plundered by some unidentified miscreants. The goods collected by the miscreants was found lying on the ground as it is speculated that they sensed presence of people at that hour. Shockingly, the bus stand area happens to remain under vigilance of police. Still, the miscreants attempted to loot the shops.

According to information, five shops at Pragya Plaza complex, that includes godown situated behind bus stand, were targeted by miscreants on Friday late night. The incident came to fore on Saturday morning, when the shop owners, who reached their respective shops, found locks
placed broken as goods kept inside were scattered at random and goods lying on the ground of the complex. Soon after the incident was informed to cops at bus stand police post, they reached the spot to take stock of the situation.

Carrying out investigations, help of sniffer dog squad was pressed into service along with finger print experts. The toil carried out remained inconclusive as cops registered case under relevant sections of IPC against the unidentified miscreants behind the incident.

Ashok Pandey of bus stand police post informed that soon after the incident came to fore, cops reached the spot and carried out investigations. He said that at Pragya Plaza complex, in the ground floor, there are mostly shops, while on the first floor, there is one office of transport company, garment factory and godown dealing in automobile spares parts. The unidentified miscreants, who invaded the complex with the intention of theft, managed to dismantle the locks placed on shutters, but failed to take away with them goods collected from the shops. The goods that included ceiling fans, clutch plates and other goods were found lying on the floor. It appears that the miscreants who sensed movement of people passing through discarded the stolen goods and eventually managed to flee from the spot. We have registered case under relevant sections as further investigations are underway.
