BJP Legislators apprised about election process

In order to explain the process of voting during the polling process for the Presidential elections, scheduled on Monday, the meeting of Bharatiya Janata Legislative Party was called at the official residence of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. The meeting which was chaired by the Chief Minister himself, was attended by all BJP Ministers and Legislators. During the meeting, technical information regarding the voting was shared with the Legislators, many of whom, will be voting for the first time in Presidential elections.

During the meeting it was decided that all BJP Legislators will reach Chhattisgarh Assembly latest by 9.30 am and as the voting process starts at 10 am, they will start exercising their franchise and by 11 am their voting process will be over.

During the meeting Ajay Chandrakar, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and polling agent for NDA Presidential Nominee Ram Nath Kovind in Chhattisgarh, informed that about the process and requisites of polling. They have been asked to bring their credentials along with them. Since the polling will be exercised with the help of special green marker pen made available by Election Commission of India, hence they shouldn’t bring any other such things along with them.

Later while talking to media persons, both the Chief Minister and Chandrakar reiterated that BJP is expecting that the NDA Presidential Nominee will receive more votes than the BJP’s designated vote strength.

The Congress Legislative Party will be meeting tomorrow at Chhattisgarh Assembly annex at 9.30 am. During the meeting the senior Congress leaders here will be informing them about the intricacies of voting in Presidential elections.
