Congress demands Dr Mishra’s ouster, burns effigies in protest

Congress leaders in different legislative assembly of District burnt effigy of Chief Minister and Minister Dr Narrotam Mishra demanding his resignation in different parts of city on Sunday.


On the call of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee and District Congress committee, large number of congress workers gathers under the leadership Congress leader Gajendra Sonkar and Tilak Block Congress President, corporator, Gajendra Sonkar and burn the effigy of Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Gajendra Sonkar said that after the Delhi High Court upheld the Election Commission decision to impose ban on Minister Narrotam Mishra for contesting elections for three years for allegedly using paid news to fan his assembly Election Campaign in 2008. He said as per constitution, Mishra stands disqualified from the date of issuance of order and debarred further for three years from contesting elections, therefore the Chief Minister, Minister Mishra and his party has no right to continue on the post.


Congress workers Motilal Block under the leadership Congress President Raju Upadhyay burn the effigy of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan adopting autocratic attitude over the Delhi High Court verdicts for upholding the election commission decision for debarring the minister mishra from contesting elections, They further alleged that Chief Minister and BJP Government should give resignation on moral ground that they have failed in different front, Farmers are unhappy with recent government decisions, poors are deprived of the given by constitutions. Ramesh Choudhry, Raju Updhyay, Sachin Yadav, Tej Kumar Bhagat, Ratan Rajput and large number of congress workers were present on the occasion.


In the series of Protest against the Chief Minister, Block Congress workers of Panagar burn effigy of Minister Narrotam Mishra for his alleged involved in the Paid news. Congress workers submitted memorandum in the name of Governor of Madhya Pradesh to the Nayab Tehasildar.


Congress workers of Cantt Assembly Constituency under the leadership of Contt Block congress president, Raju Mahawar in Cantt Area on Sunday. Congress workers demanded for resignation of Minister Narrotam Mishra after the Delhi Court Upheld the Election Commission decision for barring Minister Narrotam Mishra to caste his vote in coming Presidential Election.


Krishna Jhumaria, Rubeda Begam, Maini Swami and large number of congress worker were present on the occasion.
