Foundation stone of Maharashtra Mandal’s cultural building laid

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh laid the foundation stone of a cultural building for Maharashtra Mandal at Choubey Colony here on Sunday. The building will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 6 crores.
Dr. Singh also sanctioned a donation of Rs 21 lakhs as an assistance in construction. Other dignitaries namely Public Works Department Minister Rajesh Munat and Mayor Pramod Dubey also attended the event.

In his address, Chief Minister applauded the Maharashtra Mandal for setting up an identity of ideal community with their numerous social service works. With their educational institutions, they are also inculcating culture along with educating the children. Different branches of the community are serving without any discrimination to society such as education in society, a hostel for working women, education for disabled girls as well as their employment and exemplary work like holding blood donation camps.

Meanwhile, PWD Minister Rajesh Munat also admired the Maharashtra Mandal’s works in the field of social services. The keynote speech was delivered by Mandal president Ajay Madhukar Kale, wherein he highlighted the community’s history and works. Building construction committee convener Ramdas Joglekar informed about the layout of proposed building. He told that guests that it will be available to all communities for social works.
