Staff Reporter,

Scores of children strengthened their bond of love with their favourite ‘The Hitavada’ Twinkle Club on the last day of its membership drive this season, on Sunday at ‘The Hitavada’ office.

The membership drive was extended due to high demand from the children. The extension brought smiles to innocent faces of kids who were merrily standing in queue on Sunday. Like every year, this year too, Twinkle Club membership touched a new mark.

A chubby eight-year-old Aashifa, dressed in a colourful salwar suit, came running from the gate, and was super excited that she did not miss the chance to become a member of the country’s largest children’s club. She was out of town for past two weeks and thus could not attend the first day of the membership drive.
“I thought I will not get the chance this year. My father gave me this good news when he read the newspaper. Obviously, without wasting any time, I straight away came here to get my card and, of course, ice-cream and goodies as well,” said a happy Aashifa.

Some parents also were excited to get their child’s name registered with the Twinkle Club. The parents felt that besides the yummy Ice-cream and goodies, Twinkle Club organised many interesting events for the kids throughout the year and those helped in their personality development.

“The club conducts camps, workshops, competitions and many other entertaining events which the kids enjoy. Children from different schools come together in the events and enjoy together,” said a parent
Harsha Lulla. She had come along with her two cute daughters, 10-year-old Riya and 12-year-old Khushi. Both her daughters are members of Twinkle Club for past five years.

“We had been out of town for past ten days and thus missed the first day of the membership drive. Every year, my kids would enjoy the entertaining events on the first day, like the dance performances, jokes and other fun activities,” added Harsha Lulla.

There were many such parents and children who made a
bee-lined outside ‘The Hitavada’ office on Sunday. With every passing year, the popularity of Twinkle Club is soaring and touching new heights.
