Meghe Group signs MoU with IGBC

IN ORDER to promote the ‘Green Building Concept’ and to extend mutual co-operation in some or all the fields of academic and professional endeavour, memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Meghe Group of Institutions (MGI) and Indian Green Buildings Council (IGBC) was signed recently.


MGI and IGBC agree to explore opportunities for collaboration in the areas such as promotion of concepts leading to energy efficiency in buildings, provide academic interaction through the special lectures by the members of IGBC etc. The MoU was exchanged between Sagar Meghe, Secretary of MGI and Ar Ashok Mokha, Chairman, IGBC Vidarbha Chapter in the august presence of Dr Shekhar Bhole, CEO MGI, Dr Sheeba Valsson, Principal SDMCA and other dignitaries.


The memorandum of understanding aspires to create opportunities for training of students in the domains of green buildings, conduct joint awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, conferences for all stakeholders including educational institutions, professional bodies and public in general.


It also talks about mutual support and advice in conducting awareness programmes, workshops, seminars and conferences to facilitate green building study missions and to utilise the resources of each other for awareness programmes. Focus on development of curriculum on green buildings jointly. The MoU will also pave way for bulk registrations for IGBC AP and training programmes for students and faculties of SDMCA.
