Cohesive working is key factor of performance: CA Jaydeep Shah

THE 39th annual general meeting (AGM) of ICAI, Nagpur branch was organised at ICAI Bhawan, Dhantoli. CA Sandeep Jotwani, Chairman of the branch in his welcome address said that he was privileged to serve the noble profession, which is the epitome of excellence.

He said, “I understand that this privilege is coupled with great responsibilities and expectations and is trying my level best to live up to the expectations.”
He said that the legacy created by the past chairmen of the branch has always been source of inspiration and guidance and their presence motivates to synergies and synchronies efforts to help the profession to illuminate.

He briefed about the initiatives taken by the Nagpur branch for professional development and imparting quality knowledge to its members and students. “This year under the theme ‘Chale Ek Sath, Lets illuminate,’ we are committed to take our branch to newer heights,” he added.
He said, managing committee of Nagpur branch has lot of plans on its agenda this year for organising various programmes for the benefit of members and students and most of these programes will concentrate on practical exposure and expertise for the members.

He also informed about the initiatives taken by Nagpur branch as part of its social contribution.
CA Abhijit Kelkar, RCM appreciated the efforts of Nagpur branch in organising various innovative programes throughout the year. He said, Nagpur branch has always been role model and a source of inspiration to other branches. He stressed on the need to have better interaction with trade and industry and urged the branch to organise more programmes jointly with trade and industry associations. He suggested various steps to be taken by the branch in organising better events for members, students and society. He assured and extended all support from WIRC to Branch Managing Committee & Members.

CA Jaydeep Shah, Past President of ICAI appreciated the efforts of Nagpur branch and said that cohesive working is the key factor of performance of any branch which is reflected in the branch working.
CA Suren Duragkar, Secretary, presented the activity report of the branch for the financial year 2016-17. He informed that various programmes were organised during year in which top quality speakers shared their knowledge and experience.

CA Kirit Kalyani, Treasurer, presented the audited financial statement before the AGM. He informed about the brief highlights and said that the accounts were audited within a couple of week of completion of financial year & thanked the Auditors of the Branch for the same.

Immediate Past Chairman CA Swapnil Ghate proposed formal vote of thanks. He thanked the Central & Regional Council members, auditors, past chairmen, members & students of the branch, press & media, staff and various agencies for their cooperation and active support.
Members discussed over various activities and accounts of the branch and gave various suggestions for professional development. Present were CA Saket Bagdia, CA Sanjay Agrawal, CA Jiten Saglani, CA Swapnil Agrawal, Past Chairman, CA Deepak Jethwani, CA Ashish Agrawal, CA Atindra Deshmukh, CA Nitin Kuralkar, CA Jayant Ranwadkar and other CA members.
