Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam remembered on his death anniversary

A ‘Sarva Dharma Prarthana Sabha’ was organised on the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former President late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in Government Middle School Charoda on Thursday.
The event witnessed teachers, students, villagers and panchayat representatives paying rich tribute to the People’s President in a solemn ceremony. School teachers enlightened the students with the inspiring life story of Dr Kalam.

He belonged to a very impoverished family and dedicated his entire life to the nation. Dr Kalam reached the highest post in the nation to prove that real success is not in achievements but efforts. He used to be a paper boy in his younger days, but his dreams were very big. His entire life is no short of a philosophy. His works inspire all the people.

Dr Kalam was an engineer, scientist, philosopher, thinker, writer and ultimately, the President. He was bestowed with national accolades such as Padma Bhushan and Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award. He was honoured with different honorary degrees by 40 universities and organizations. He led a highly disciplined life.

He goes by many names such as missile man and people’s president. He breathes his last while giving a lecture. No one can forget such great personality, who has given his everything in the nation’s service. Deputy Sarpanch Toshan Sahu also expressed his views and paid tribute to Dr. Kalam on behalf of all villagers.

Janpad member Shakun Chandrakar planted a sapling of Ashoka Tree as an honour to late President. Total 20 saplings were planted on the occasion. Thereafter, school children performed ‘Sarva Dharma Prarthana’.
