Heavy rainfall warning in parts of State

Bhopal woke up to a rainy morning on Thursday. In last twenty four hours, monsoon remained active in Mandsaur, Indore and Ujjain divisions. Rains drenched several places of aforesaid divisions. Weather Department issued warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in some parts of Rewa, Shahdol, Hoshangabad, Indore divisions and Panna, Damoh, Balaghat, Katni, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Sehore and Dewas districts.


When people woke up on Thursday morning, drizzling was drenching the city. It was also raining in other parts of state. Till 8.30 am on Thursday, Khandwa (9 cm), Singrauli (8 cm), Sidhi, Mhow, Harsood, Jhabua (5 cm), Kotma, Katni, Rajnagar, Gandhwani, Dhar, Chicholi, Alirajpur, Nalcha, Khargone, Thikri, Manawar (4 cm each), Nagodh, Rewa, Hanumana, Segaon, Badgaon, Bhikangaon, Jobat, Kasarbarh, Biora, Neemuch (3 cm each).


Weather Department forecast says heavy rains are likely in some parts of Jabalpur, Anuppur, Dindori, Chhattarpur, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Badwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur districts.
Alert has been issued for Panna, Damoh, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Khandwa and Alirajpur districts. Alert has been issued as regular rains poses inundation like situation in low lying areas. Rains and showers are possible in maximum places of Rewa, Shahdol, Hoshangabad, Indore divisions and Panna, Damoh, Balaghat, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Sehore and Dewas districts. Several places of Ujjain, Bhopal, Sagar and Jabalpur will be also battered by rains.

As monsoon system has become active once again in state, hence everyone is happy. Rains are occurring in most of the places of state. Rains have turned weather conditions as pleasant. The hilly areas are covered with green lush cover of grass and new leaves of trees. So far, there is no flood like situation in any part of the state. Drizzling is continuing in state capital from last two days with regular gaps.
