Cabinet expansion likely next month

Expansion in Shivraj Cabinet is on the cards and likely to take place after Independence Day. The minister post which got vacated after resignation of Gyan Singh will be filled in the possible Cabinet reshuffle and there is likelihood that at least two more BJP MLAs can be inducted in the possible cabinet expansion.

Even Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given indication in this regard on Friday. The minister berth that became vacant after Gyan Singh resigned as Assembly member following his election as Shahdol’s MP. Many BJP MLAs are eying the vacant minister berth in Shivraj Cabinet. It is learnt that aspirant BJP MLAs are leaving no stone unturned to impress Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. An undeclared race has commenced among the aspirant legislatures of BJP.

There are also chances that apart from filling the vacant post of Gyan Singh in Cabinet, CM may pick up one or two more MLAs as ministers. The Cabinet expansion if takes place will be done by seeing the regional and caste equations. It is also being said that CM may change the departments of some ministers owing to their unimpressive performance. There are chances that Agriculture department may be taken from Gaurishankar Bisen. The murmur’s of Cabinet expansion has created curiosity among ruling party MLAs.
