Raipur Congmen oppose screening of ‘Indu Sarkar’

Congress workers opposed the screening of Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Indu Sarkar in Raipur on Friday.The Congress activists, led by Raipur Urban District Congress Committee Vikas Upadhyay, reached City Centre Mall in Raipur and opposed the screening of Indu Sarkar. The police prevented the protestors and detained them. Later the protestors were released. The Congress workers also raised slogans condemning the movie and director Madhur Bhandarkar.

“BJP and RSS want to malign the image of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who contributed so much for India. We will not allow the movie to be screened in Raipur,” Vikas Upadhyay said. Vimal Gupta, Aziz Bhisra, Dhananjay Singh Thakur, Raju Dubey, Shafiq Khan, Tariq Khan, Ravi Tiwari, Dinesh Futan, Sandeep Sirmour, Kishore Sahu, Kamat, Shivam, Gajendra Pandey, Amir Khan, Shajal, Kartik and other activists participated in the protest.
