Congress protests against illegal sale of liquor in Jabalpur West constituency

CONGRESS workers staged protest against illegal sale of liquor in Jabalpur West Assembly constituency on Sunday. Congress workers submitted a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to CSP Cantonment N P Prajapati demanding strict monitoring and action against people involved in illegal sale of liquor. MPCC Secretary Pinky Mudgal Sharma said that Chief Minister Chouhan has declared total ban on liquor sale on banks of Narmada.

He conducted Narmada Yatra across the river and made high claims of conservation of river. But illegal sale of liquor in cities and towns exposed the ground reality. Rakesh Yadav, Block President warned that if proper ban on liquor in Gwarighat area is not ensured then Congress and locals will stage protest. Those present were Vinod Tiwari, Balvinder Singh Maan, Pushpa Patel, Anshul Singh, Vijay Patel, Arjun Yadav and others.
