Plantation drive aims to return to nature what we have taken: CM

“INSTITUTIONAL arrangements are being made to ensure availability of adequate resources and appointment of plant guards to protect planted saplings. There is no intention of creating any record but the campaign has sole motive of returning back to nature against exploitation of natural resources. Every citizen should be committed to return the same quantity of oxygen which they are taking from the environment by planting a tree to balance environment cycle,” said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while talking to the media at the sidelines of a grand plantation programme at Lamhetaghat, on Sunday.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan lauded participation of residents in Jabalpur for success of the campaign and registering highest number of plantation in the district.

He expressed gratitude towards residents, public representatives, administrative officers and several organisations for commendable support in making the campaign a grand success. The State Government is making necessary arrangements for collection of necessary resources for protection of planted saplings to achieve desired task but it will also need support from the society for better success ratio of plantation.
