Traffic police fine 1,138 students for riding vehicle without license

Traffic Control Branch of City Police on Friday conducted a special drive against the students for riding vehicle without proper documents.
The police issued fines to 1,138 students along with 183 parents. Total 472 vehicles were detained during the drive. The drive was conducted near the colleges especially to aware students about traffic rules.

A police officer informed that the students are coming to collages with motorcycle without license. Some of them are even not prompt in riding the vehicle. Such lawlessenss casuing serious accidents on city road and many young lives were lost in recent past. “We have also booked parents for allowing their wards to rode vehicle without proper documents,” said the officer. The drive would be continued for three-days, he added.

According to information, the Chamber 1 issued fines to 138 students, 13 parents and detained 12 vehicles; Chamber 2 issued fines to 387 students, 97 parents and detained 290 vehicles; Chamber 3 issued fines to 310 students, 28 parents and detained 152 vehicles; Chamber 4 issued fine to 252 vehicles, 19 parents and detained nine vehicles while Chamber 5 issued fines to 51students, 26 parents and nine vehicles were detained.
