‘State Cyber Cell, STF together curbing crime’

“ADVANCEMENT of technologies also increased graph of cyber crime but State Cyber Cell is geared up to deal with cyber fraudulent cases. State Cyber Cell and Special Task Force are working together to check cyber fraud incidents and there is an urgent need to educate public with use of online money transactions and following safety measures.


Timely complaint of any kind of cyber crime is required for prompt action and apprehension of accused. Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in its new guidelines, has made the banks liable in case of reporting any fraud money transaction within three hours of the crime,” informed Superintendent of Police State Cyber Crime Cell Shailendra Singh Chouhan, while talking with the media on Saturday.

State Cyber Crime Cell SP Shailendra Singh Chouhan reached Jabalpur Office to review the progress in pending number of cases. He informed that a total of nine cyber cases have been registered and 213 complaints of varieties of cyber fraud were received at Jabalpur Office.
State Cyber Cell has five regional offices in the state at Jabalpur, Bhopal, Gwalior, Indore and Ujjain.


State Cyber Cell, Superintendent of Police informed that more than 300 personnel were given specialized training for investigation in cyber crime cases while the cell is becoming competent to identify trap the accused of cyber crime cases with the modus-operandi cyber crime and fraud cases.
Cyber Cell and STF have jointly taken-up a challenging task of curbing cyber crime with their combined offices in Jabalpur, Indore and Gwalior.


SP, Shailendra Singh Chouhan extended appeal towards residents to take necessary cyber security precautions for evading the risk of any fraud and promptly giving information about any kind of suspicious activity.
