‘One must develop confidence to achieve bigger dreams’

Model turned actress Rashmi Jha said that one must develop one’s confidence to achieve bigger dreams.
Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Rashmi Jha, who made her debut in Bollywood with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indu Sarkar, said that she was delighted to work with eminent director Madhur Bhandarkar. She was selected to play the role of Farzana Sultana after a lot of girls were auditioned for the movie. She was delighted when she got a call saying she was selected.

Revealing her success, the model-turned actress said that the credit for her success goes to her family, especially her mother Neelu Jha. “It is only because of her parents support that I am what I am today,” she added.

Rashmi Jha, who completed her schooling from St. Xavier School Raipur and graduated in Bio-technology from Bangalore, started her career as a model. Rashmi walked the ramp for many international banners and represented India in the China Supermodel Contest has also walked the ramp for many fashion weeks.

Replying to a query on girls’ belonging to small towns facing discrimination in Bollywood, Rashmi observed, “If we want to achieve a big dream, we have to give our hundred percent. When we are in competition, it’s not written behind that we are from small town or rich family. It is our talent and confidence that lead us towards success.”

For girls, it is necessary to get parents’ constant support. If the girls don’t get support from their parents, there is a probability to opt wrong path, she added.The young actress said that she wants to do commercial movie, saying that it is a challenging task to do comedy movie.

Responding to another query on massive protest against movie Indu Sarkar, the actress said that India is a democratic country where people have right to freedom of speech and expressions.

Rashmi said that the 70 per cent story of Indu Sarkar is fictional and 30 per cent is true.

One should always follow one’s dream to achieve what they wish for; one never knows what might happen the next moment, the actress observed.
