Incident is fallout of monetary dispute between deceased and murderer

MP Nagar police on Wednesday claimed to have solved murder case of a 40-year-old cleanliness employee of BMC who was stabbed to death by unidentified accused near Rachna Nagar under-bridge late on Tuesday night while the victim was heading toward house riding on his bike accompanied by a woman.


SP Bhopal (South) Siddhartha Bahaguna while speaking to the mediapersons at police control room on Wednesday said, the deceased Jagdish alias Jaki, a native of Bhusawal (Maharashtra), was killed over a dispute of Rs 6,000; deceased had bought second hand motorbike from accused in Rs 16,000 but never paid the total amount and three days ago the accused was roughed up by deceased on being asked for remaining payment therefore frustrated over the non-payment of the remaining money he killed the deceased.


Police recovered sharp-edged weapon from Gwalior-based accused Suresh Agrawal (46) who runs a tiffin centre here. The deceased was stabbed to death after throwing chilli in his eyes and silted his throat using a sharp edged weapon.
SP Bahuguna said that it was a planned murder as the accused after tracking the movement of the deceased attacked him.

In the preliminary investigation the woman Jaya (35) who was with the deceased has claimed to be wife of deceased had lodged a complaint and in further
investigation it came to fore that she was in live-in relationship with the deceased along with her two children after getting separated from her husband. Police said that the deceased had past crime record and was externed from Bhusawal.

He was also booked for murder case by Bazarpeth police station of Bhusawal in Maharashtra.The accused had earlier lodged complaint regarding the deceased regarding refund of money and after the complaint was lodged the deceased agreed to pay the refund in installments and gave the same in written but later he refused from making the refund.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under Section 302 of the IPC and later nabbed the accused in the investigation. The deceased used to work as sweeper in Bhopal Municipal Corporation and was suspended from his services. He was living in Rachna Nagar for the past one year.
