Staff Reporter,

The main objective of ‘Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan’ is to build sense of responsibility of common people in India towards protecting the nation, said Kodipakam Neelameghacharya alias K N Govindacharya, founder of Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan on Wednesday.
Govindacharya was addressing at the premises near
the statue of Netaji Subhashchandra Bose after launching the nationwide agitation to boycott Chinese goods.

On August 9, 1942, Quit India Movement was launched against British. Many freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. Unfortunately, the common man in India has not understood his/her responsibilities towards the nation. After 1947, people of India were fighting for their rights, but they are not talking about the morals and responsibilities towards the nation. China got independence in 1949, but the stories of both countries are different, he added.

Govindacharya pointed out that India got independence after signing of the document of transfer of powers. No one in India knows about the conditions of transfer of power document. India was bigger than China in terms of area, but in last 200 years, India was cut in to pieces and different nations were carved out. After the war with China in 1962, India should have taken the lesson and should have tried to control the China on its border. It has not happened because of lack of patriotism among Indians, he added.

Stating that no country could be considered on the basis of political borders, Govindracharya said, protecting national interest should be top priority of any political party ruling the nation. After Pokhran blast, USA has started American Institute for Indian Studies to know more about India. Unfortunately, after 1962, no efforts were made by any political party to study China. Govindacharya appealed Government to start Indian Institute for China studies to conduct research on different policies of China, he added.

Govindacharya illustrated an example of how China controls the market. He said, in China, Army has been considered as equal as rulers. Unfortunately, in India, Army has been controlled by rulers. If China manufactures 10 items, it sales seven of these items on loss and three items on profit. The loss of seven items has been covered by profit of three items. Army plays a crucial role in transportation and communication system. Chinese army has given powers to complete different projects like construction of roads, transportation, communication etc. Instead of considering China as enemy, India should study policies of China and find out solution to control the same, he added.

Govindacharya gave different examples from countries like Israel, Vietnam, Britain, during world war, where strong will power of common people in these countries helped them to win battles.

Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan has launched a nation-wide campaign, ‘Say no to China - Be Bharatiya buy Bharatiya’ from Tuesday to develop willpower of common man to protect national interest. This campaign will strengthen patriotism, self-esteem and self-reliance, he added.

Earlier, the Chinese items were burnt to mark launch of the campaign. Rajesh Maharaj Shende, Abhimanyu Kohad, National Convenor Pavankumar Shrivastava, National Organising Secretary, Basavraj Patil and Ajay Patki also spoke on the occasion. The said campaign will be conducted in more than 50 cities in the country from August 9 to September 6 and conclude in New Delhi.

District Convenor Bhagwandas Rathi, Munna Mahajan, National General Secretary Pradeepkumar Nagpurkar, Narendra Pohankar, Dinkar Ambulkar, Vinod Bhabhare, Milkiram Dahare, Dr Bhise, Bagesh Mahajan, Suresh Kadam and others also were present.
