331 recruits shine at passing out parade at JAK RRC

Attestation and passing out parade for recruits of Course Ser No 115 was carried out at The Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre on Saturday on successful completion of military training. Recruit Deepak Kumar led the parade as parade commander. The parade was an elegant show of drill and discipline where 331 recruits marched on martial tunes and finally passed out to join the Indian Army JAK Rifle Regiment.

Lieutenant General Yogesh Kumar Joshi, AVSM, Vrc, SM, Director General of Infantry reviewed the parade. Complementing young soldiers on impeccable drill, excellent turnout and conduct of the ceremony, he exhorted them to serve the nation with honour and dignity as part of this elite organisation. He also felicitated recruits who excelled in the training with various medals of honour.

General Zorawar Singh Medal and Commandant Rolling Trophy for Best Recruit in the batch were awarded to Recruit Jaswant Singh. Lt Gen K S Katoch, MC, Padma Bhushan, Second best in Batch Medal was awarded to Recruit Abhishek Singh. Brig Sher Jung Thapa MVC, best in drill medal was given to Recruit Deepak Kumar. Brig Rajinder Singh, MVC, best in BPET Medal was awarded to Recruit Rahul Kumar Pal. Best in Advance Camp Training Commandant Medal was given to Recruit Rahul Choudhary.

Captain Vikram Batra, PVC, best in fire medal was given to Recruit Deepak Kumar, Commandant’s best Recruit /Trademan of passing out course Medal was given to Recruit /HD Rahul Sharma, Commandant’s Best Trainer Medal was awarded to Nb Sub Suresh Kumar. Maj Gen CA Pithawalla, AC, VSM Medal was given to Nk Diki Sherpa. These awards will go a long way in motivating the recruits to perform their best for the country and Indian Army.

Officers, JCOs, NCOs, families of the Centre witnessed the parade, which was flawlessly conducted with traditional excellence and pride of The Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre in tune with the highest standards maintained by the Armed Forces. The highlight of function was “Oath taking ceremony” by all new soldiers, confirming their total allegiance to serve the nation.
