City lad Anurag Rai attends international youth meet on land rights in Indonesia

In Bhopa’sl youth community, engagement is all set to make a difference in substantial development of society. Take the case of Anurag Rai, who got the opportunity to represent country at International Land Coalition (ILC) meet in Indonesia. He was selected on the basis of his involvement in social activities and rural camp being organised in city regularly.

Being a part of interactive session at international platform, especially which concerns with land rights, is not easy and one has to well equipped with knowledge. He was a part of 40 young members from five Asian countries who gathered in Bogor, Indonesia, on August 12 to commemorate International Youth Day.

Anurag Rai is a psychology student. He works with a youth organisation from Bhopal named Ansh Happiness Society. He is currently co-ordinating a ‘GO-RURBAN’ campaign which has a objective to know about life in rural environment and understanding the lifestyle based on less materialistic and more sustainable. The campaigns aims to urban youth and making them aware about land and land resources. Experience in this camp was marked as stepping stone for him and encourage him to represent internationally and present challenges of youth in MP.

One of the main aims of this meet was to make young leaders who can mobilise other youth for their important role in the reconstruction of society, in the eyes of the social, political, economic, and cultural change. Youth participation in bottom-up decision making processes not only can change the scenario of countries but also globally positive change can be witnessed .
