‘Quality education and scoring good marks in examinations are different’

Bal Kulkarni, one of the well-known writers and senior journalists, recently said that students must understand a basic difference between acquiring quality education and marks scored in examinations. “Unless our students give priority to gaining quality education, we cannot imagine bright future,” he said while speaking at a felicitation function of meritorious students organised by the Shikshak Sahakari Bank Limited here in the city. He was key note speakers of the event that witnessed participants of large number of students, parents, bank employees, customers and others.


M N Mendjoge, Founder President of the bank, Anil Sole, President, A D Muley, Vice President, and other were among the prominent persons present on the occasion.
While motivating the meritorious students, Kulkarni further said that it is quite essential to follow principles and ethics while learning academics.


The the Shikshak Sahakari Bank also felicitated all the wards of the bank staff who scored more than 90 per cent marks in SSC and HSC examinations.


“These are simple and basic rules that would bring prosperity in your life and keep you smiling,” he said. Continuing its rich tradition, the bank organised the ceremony to felicitate students who out-shined in the recently held SSC and HSC examinations.


Apart from this, persons who contributed the field of sports, literature and social work were also felicitated. Sanjay Bhakre conducted the proceedings of the event while Upendra Pophadi, Chief Executive Officer of the bank proposed a formal vote of thanks.
